Baba Link Farm is a small, very biodiverse organic farm on 10 acres of the Kozowyk family farm in Flamborough, Hamilton, worked since 2002 by Pat Kozowyk and Ernst von der Kall and named for Pat’s mother, “Baba” Betty (Baba is Ukrainian for grandmother). Its fresh produce has been certified organic since 2008, now by CSI. Three orchards interplant heirloom tree fruit with berries, herbs, flowers and native plants, and the farm sells fruit, culinary and tea herbs, edible and cut flowers, a few annual vegetables and small-batch jams and jellies. It was a 2013 regional recipient of the Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation. Find it at the Waterdown Farmers’ Market on Saturdays (sharing a stall with Escarpment Kombucha), with farm pickup and online orders through Open Food Network.
