Cambridge Farmers' Market

Future Bakery is a family-run Toronto bakery and dairy that also makes the M-C Dairy and Aunt Irene's lines. The family's Polish grandfather trained as a master baker at the Russian imperial court, and with their Ukrainian grandmother ran a bakery in Ternopil, Ukraine, until the family fled west during the Second World War; in Canada they opened a small bakery they named Future, and the family still bakes with the grandparents' recipes. It makes traditional European-style breads without preservatives (rye, sourdough, egg and Ukrainian breads, bagels and buns), pastries and cakes, M-C Dairy kefir, yogurt, cheeses and butter, and Aunt Irene's pierogies, cabbage rolls and other prepared foods. Its factory outlet store is at 106 North Queen Street, and it sells at St. Lawrence Market and on Saturdays at the Cambridge and Kitchener farmers' markets.

Noki Farms, co-owned by Nykole Crevits and Karl Fellbaum, is an indoor farm inside the Old Quebec Street Shoppes in downtown Guelph that grows gourmet mushrooms and microgreens in-store, using vertical hydroponics and controlled-environment systems to get a big yield from a small footprint. Mushrooms include lion's mane, bear's head, chestnut, wild enoki and blue, pink, black pearl, king and phoenix oyster; microgreens include speckled pea, broccoli, arugula, kohlrabi, red cabbage, rapini, radish and yellow mustard, plus house blends. It sells year-round at the farm shop and at farmers' markets in Toronto and the Guelph area.

Thames River Melons is the Chesney family's farm in Innerkip, Ontario. Rob Chesney planted a single acre of melons in 1984, and the farm now grows more than 40 crops, from asparagus and strawberries to sweet corn, melons, squash and apples, alongside honey from its own hives, Black Angus beef and from-scratch pies, baked goods and preserves. Everything it sells is grown, raised or made on the farm, and it runs pick-your-own, weekly home delivery and stands at farmers' markets across southern Ontario.

We have been farming in Norfolk County since 1966. As our family grew and went on to greener pastures, we switched our focus from raising pigs and growing vegetables to a cash crop operation. However, we had developed a special bond with both our customers in Cambridge and our fellow farmers in Norfolk County and beyond. Since the mid-2000s we have been bringing the finest products we can find to the Cambridge Farmer's Market. While our focus is always on providing fresh, local produce, we also pride ourselves on being a year round outdoor vendor on the Cambridge Farmer's Market.

Romagnoli Farms is a third-generation family fruit farm in Beamsville, in the heart of Niagara's Greenbelt, rooted there since 1919, when Camillo and Enrichetta Romagnoli moved their family from Toronto to Beamsville and bought a fruit farm. Owners Jack and Irene Romagnoli and their daughters Ruth and Victoria now farm 80 acres known for peaches (baby gold, freestone, white and donut) plus plums, prunes, apricots, nectarines, pears, apples and sweet and sour cherries, along with vegetables. Everything is grown locally in Niagara and sold, along with homemade pies, butter tarts, jams and pickles, at two fruit stands on Thirty Rd and King St in Beamsville (May to October) and at farmers' markets.

Caudle's Catch Seafood is a Kitchener-based fresh and frozen seafood retailer and wholesaler, founded in 1986 by Ron and Sylvia Caudle, who brought their Halifax roots to Kitchener-Waterloo. Besides its seafood superstore on Otonabee Drive in Kitchener, it sells at the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market (Thursdays and Saturdays) and the Cambridge Farmers' Market (Saturdays) and inside Vincenzo's in Waterloo, supplies wholesale customers across Canada, and ships seafood online.

Southern Pride Poultry is a St. George family tradition. For over 75 years this third-generation family business has supplied St. George, Cambridge, Kitchener and Simcoe with fresh poultry for holidays, weeknight dinners and celebrations. AP Bakery is a Brantford bakery run by Priya and Amrish Kumar Goyal, with a shop at 175 Lynden Road, Unit A8. Priya learned to bake sourdough, bagels, pretzels and cookies while studying at Fleming College in Lindsay and working at Mickael's Café Libraire, and the couple started baking on their own in November 2022. They make sourdough loaves, bagels, pretzels, baguettes, brioche, challah, cinnamon buns, croissants and shortbread cookies, and sell at farmers' markets around the region.
