Cobourg Farmers Market

Knuckle Down Farm is a small-scale organic market garden on a back-channel of the Trent River near Stirling, Frankford, and Campbellford, Ontario. Farmer Jenny Cook, who established the farm in 2012, grows more than fifty varieties of vegetables, garlic, herbs, and flowers largely with hand tools, and also runs a CSA.

Salsa might simply mean “sauce” in Spanish but we make salsas that deliver flavour, depth, and poignant heat to any dish you create. We roast our ingredients over an open fire and craft our salsas to highlight the complex flavours of roasted tomatoes, the sweetness of onions, the herbaceousness of fresh chilies, and the deep smokiness of dried ones.

For over 18 years, Nancy and Jean Gagne have been creating natural handmade soaps and herbal infused skin care using essential oils, local ingredients and herbs from their gardens. Soaps are 50% olive oil, small-batch cold process. Vendors at Cobourg Farmers Market since 2000.

Art Farm fruit includes fall raspberries, black currants and ground cherries. Bouquets of field flowers are a weekly feature, also all grown without applications of fungicides or other chemicals. The season starts with potted plants, mainly herbs and Heirloom tomatoes.
