Thames River Melons is the Chesney family's farm in Innerkip, Ontario. Rob Chesney planted a single acre of melons in 1984, and the farm now grows more than 40 crops, from asparagus and strawberries to sweet corn, melons, squash and apples, alongside honey from its own hives, Black Angus beef and from-scratch pies, baked goods and preserves. Everything it sells is grown, raised or made on the farm, and it runs pick-your-own, weekly home delivery and stands at farmers' markets across southern Ontario.

Superior Meats is a family-owned Barrie company founded in 1994 by Mike DeMaria. It specializes in artisan European dry-cured meats and imported specialty cheeses, carrying on a DeMaria family tradition of preserving and curing meats that began with Giuseppe (Joe) DeMaria in Siderno, Italy. Mike and Krisztina DeMaria sell salami, smoked meats and hard-to-find cheeses at the Barrie outlet and at farmers' markets.

Grainharvest Breadhouse is an artisan bakery in Waterloo, opened on November 27, 1989 by Austrian-trained bakers Hubert Wurm and Roland Berchtold and later joined by German baker David Nötzold. It bakes European-style breads, buns, rolls and soft pretzels, with the pretzels baked fresh on site at its stand inside the main building of St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, and runs retail stores in Waterloo and Kitchener along with a wholesale business across Ontario. Its Circle of Life Bakery division, started in 2004, makes wheat-free and mostly gluten-free cookies, bars and muffins from scratch in a separate facility.

Olde Tyme Kettle Kitchen is a family-owned confectionery that husband-and-wife team Gary and Denise opened in St. Jacobs in 1994, now run with their son Andrew. Everything is made the olde-fashioned way, by hand in copper kettles and cooled on marble tables: creamy fudge in flavours like Canadian maple, tortoise and chocolate mint, nut brittles, sponge toffee, caramel corn, cinnamon-sugar beer nuts and candy apples. Find them year-round at the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market on Thursdays and Saturdays and at fairs and festivals across Ontario, or order online.
