Locke Street Farmers Market

Kinsip House of Fine Spirits is a farm distillery in Prince Edward County that mills the grain it grows, then ferments, distils and barrel-ages its spirits on the farm. Its line includes Canadian rye and maple whiskies, rum, gins, vodkas, liqueurs such as County Cassis and Saffron Liqueur, handcrafted cocktail bitters and barrel-aged maple syrups, made with local ingredients and its own grain.

As a local multi-generational family farm, Jerry's Berries is one of the original farmers of the Locke Street Farmers' Market. Owners Jerry and Glenda Bargeman are renowned with market patrons for their fresh, plump raspberries, famous raspberry freezer jam and honey.

We use old-world brewing traditions to make beer in the saison style. After the fall harvest, beer is set down into oak barrels that once housed wine.

Glancaster Green Farm was founded about 8 years ago by two sisters. They grow a variety of cut flowers and sell them seasonally at several local markets and shops in the Hamilton region, and create flower arrangements for summer and winter.

Founded by Andrea Elsasser, A Cookie Jar believes a good cookie makes everyone's day better. Cookies are made from original recipes or tweaked family recipes using quality ingredients from local farms, including flour, butter and produce, with no artificial flavouring or food colouring. Based in Waterdown, Ontario.

Founded in 2022 by Stacey Collrin, Larkspur Studio is a flower design business focused on growing and creating beautiful arrangements for everyday and special moments. On 20 acres in St George, Stacey grows snapdragons, thousands of dahlia plants, feverfew, stock, sunflowers and Floret zinnias, among others.

Backyard Harvest is an urban farm in Hamilton run by farmer Russ Ohrt, growing ultra-local produce with organic and biodynamic methods in backyards across the Strathcona, Kirkendall and North End neighbourhoods. Started in 2009, it sells seasonal vegetables, greens, herbs and berries at the Locke Street Farmers' Market on Saturdays from late May to the end of October, much of it harvested within hours of market start, and runs a community-supported agriculture food share.

Founded in 2019 by Thomas and Kendra after travel to 42 countries, Tijuana Tom's House of Hot Sauce brings global flavours to artisan hot sauces ranging from bright citrusy Japanese-inspired to smoky Mexican-inspired.

Informed Pet Food Inc. is a Canadian pet food company committed to providing premium raw and dehydrated pet food and treats made from locally sourced, human-grade ingredients. Founded by Susanne Murschitz and co-founded by Sam Yip, the company is dedicated to species-appropriate nutrition, ingredient transparency, and supporting pet health through natural, minimally processed foods.

Red Cap Hot Sauce puts flavour first, heat second: authentic Trini-style pepper sauce (Peppa' Sauce) made from one family recipe. Made with local ingredients whenever possible; current batches use 100% Ontario-grown scotch bonnet and red bell peppers.

For farmers James and Kirsten Richardson, farming is a family affair. On their farm at 131 River Road near Dunnville they grow fruits and vegetables (most notably strawberries and sweet corn), boil their own maple syrup and raise pasture-raised chicken, and the farm store carries preserves, frozen soups and take-and-bake pies. The farm offers pick-your-own strawberries and apples, fall farm days and sugar bush tours, and sells at the Dunnville, Hagersville, Caledonia and Hamilton Locke St. farmers' markets.
