About

Alison Syer is a Mississauga visual artist behind Eyespot Designs, working in textiles, illustration and painting with a focus on nature, colour and pattern. The Eyespot name comes from the markings on butterfly wings that startle predators. She holds a Sheridan College Advanced Diploma in Crafts and Design with a textiles concentration, and is the author-illustrator of Drawn In: An Illustrated Garden Tour (2022).
