The historic weekly farmers’ market operates inside St. Lawrence Market North. Southern Ontario producers bring seasonal produce into the Market Hall — a tradition on this site since 1803. This listing is not the South Market permanent specialty hall across the complex. North is Saturday farmers only. South runs most of the week with butchers, cheese counters, and the classic tourist crowd.

Practical first-timer notes

  • Cash still matters: Official market FAQ: all vendors accept cash; many take Interac or cards. Several farm stalls are listed cash-only on the market directory. There’s a TD ATM at the front of the North Market.
  • Parking special (Saturdays): Green P St. Lawrence Garage south of the South Market at Lower Jarvis and The Esplanade — $1.00 per hour for the first two hours, valid 5 AM–6 PM Saturdays only. That deal is for that garage, not the North building’s own underground lot.
  • No pets inside North or South (Toronto Public Health).
  • Holiday hours: the market says the Saturday farmers’ market usually keeps regular winter hours, but check stlawrencemarket.com hours before long weekends — holiday schedules can override.
  • Sunday in North is not the farmers’ market (antiques / events when scheduled). Don’t show up Sunday expecting farm stalls.
